Garfirst

Garfirst is an experimental version of Garland with content first.

Garfirst is create by D-theme as a demonstration of Garland with content first for better accessibility. Garfirst is defined as a subtheme of Garland to save copying over all the files from Garland. In the end, you have to copy most files because critical files are modified in Garfirst.

In Garland the sequence is something link heading, content, sidebar left, sidebar right, then footer. Garfirst has content then the others. In both themes the content contains the breadcrumb and that could be moved after the content.

This theme passes most of the validations. The CSS uses text shadow attributes which are in CSS 3 but not CSS 2.1. The W3C and Total Validator agree the XHTML is XHTML 1.0 Strict. TV passes this page as US 508, WCAG (WAI) A, AA, and AAA. Cynthia Says this theme is US 508 and WAI as far as a computer can check. Wave did not detect accessibility errors.
