Genesis
Genesis is designed to be the base for other themes.
Download Genesis from drupal.org/project/genesis. This version of Genesis is 6.x-2.4 from 2009-Jun-12, a 154.6 KB download.
You install Genesis then copy a prebuilt subtheme named Genesis SUBTHEME and modify the copy to fit your need. There are some more subthemes online plus documentation on how to build a subtheme.
Genesis Cold Day, Genesis Darkmatter, Genesis LITE, Genesis Typo 1, Genesis Webify, Genesis WebX, and Genesis Zine are themes based on Genesis version 1 and are not yet compatible with the Genesis version 2 used on this page.
