Pet Meta
Pet Meta inserts meta elements in the HTML head for accessibility. Currently the following element is the only element inserted.
<meta http-equiv="content-language" content="language" />
Why do we specify the language again? The language is already in the HTML opening element and the opening element specifies the language used for the markup of the page. The meta element specifies the language used for the content. Often these are the same. We specify the language the second way, as content-language, because it may be used for accessibility by reader software or by content classification software.
You will see the content-language meta data listed in reports for compliance with WAI, WCAG, and US section 508. Adding the element costs almost nothing and removes one possible objection to your site or to the use of Drupal.
Pet Meta is available in pet_meta.zip. Use Nodewords to insert other types of meta tags.
